Mondial de la Biere Marks 30 Years

Montreal's iconic international beer festival is going all out May 24-26

If you haven't attended the Mondial de la Biere festival in Montreal before this could be the year to do it. Mondial President Jeannine Marois and her team are pulling out the stops for the 30th anniversary of this long-runnning international beer festival. Belgian (21 breweries), Brazilian, (10 breweries) and French (3 breweries) highlight this year's milestone event.

In addition to the aforementioned, 30-plus medal winning beers from the Canada Beer Cup will be presented in the Petit Pub, along with more beers and ciders from Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Estonia and Iceland.

Also to celebrate the Mondial's 30th, 30 beers specially brewed for the event by Quebec brewers will be available for tasting and festival-goers will have the chance to

participate in a blind tasting competition to find the grand prize winner of this vintage!

Gourmet food trucks are also invited to join in the fun for the first time, all with a background of musical entertainment. To add to the pomp and circumstance, a large contingent of Belgian Knights of the Brewers Paddle will conduct their special knighting ceremony at the event.

Entrance to the event is free, inviting a come-and-go as you please atmosphere and plenty of time to enjoy Montreal's multifarious attractions. Mark it down for a memorable Memorial weekend and pack your passport – just a few hour's drive up the Northway (I-87).
